Established in 1980, Star Chauffeured Service has been a pioneer in providing livery services in Greater Vancouver.

In the summer of 1986, Vancouver hosted EXPO 86, a World’s fair. Canada invited the World and that summer, an estimated 22 million people attended. The success of EXPO 86 lasted well beyond the fair itself, and really set off a golden era of tourism for Vancouver and the region.

Around the same time, Star Limousine Service had expanded to include Star Coach and Limousine Service, with a larger fleet and greater seating capacities to cater to the growing demand for private transfers and custom sightseeing. Private and custom day tours of Greater Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and multi-day guided tours through the Canadian Rockies became our specialty and it was only a matter of time before we decided to offer daily scheduled guided sightseeing tours.

Last year we dropped the word “Limousine” from our name and rebranded ourselves as Star Chauffeured Services. Star Chauffeured Services better represents what we do and now, with the introduction of Star Sightseeing, we have truly become a full service ground transportation and sightseeing company with the newest and nicest fleet in the region.

1980

Star Limousine Service Ltd. opens as a family business and pioneer in limousine services in Southwest British Columbia.

1982

Star Coach & Limousine Service Ltd. forms as another family-run business focused on tourism and offering private and custom sightseeing tours of Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria and the Canadian Rockies

2019

The Star Ownership purchases Highland VIP Chauffeur Inc., based in Calgary, Alberta

2022

Star Limousine Service Ltd. invests more than $4.5million into new vehicles and expanding its fleet to include AWD EV Sedans, SUVs, Passenger Vans, up to full size Highway Coaches making it the newest, largest and most diversified livery fleet in Western Canada.

2024

Star Limousine Service Ltd. drops the word “Limousine”, rebrands and is re-named “Star Chauffeured Services.”

2025

Star Sightseeing is formed with a focus on offering daily scheduled sightseeing tours of Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and beyond.

2030

The Star Chauffeured Services group of Companies is committed to being carbon neutral by 2030 and to electrifying its fleet as quickly as possible.
